VIP Taxi Port Operations helps the operator manage transfer bookings, maintain a dedicated Google Calendar and send booking messages. Customers do not need to connect a Google account.
One booking record. Clear responsibilities.
The WordPress booking record is the source of truth. Authorized staff manage booking status and approve customer requests there. Google connections support that work; they do not dispatch a vehicle, take a payment or approve a customer's changes.
A dedicated operations calendar
One event per journey leg shows the route, pickup time, vehicle type and passenger count. Approved changes update the same events; approved cancellations remove the related active events.
The connection accesses calendars created by the app, not the operator's personal calendars. Customers are not invited to events.
Booking messages, sent clearly
The operator authorizes a sending mailbox for customer and administration messages, including itineraries, meeting instructions and booking decisions.
The Gmail permission allows sending, not reading or searching the mailbox. The sending connection is managed separately through FluentSMTP.
Places and route information
Location search and routing use Google Maps Platform services to identify places and estimate routes and distances.
These services use the website's API keys. They do not require a customer's Google sign-in or access to a customer's Google account.
Who connects Google?
Only an authorized operator connects Google from WordPress administration. Calendar and Gmail have separate authorizations. Customers use the booking form and their private booking-management link without granting Google permissions.
Calendar access can be paused or disconnected in administration. Google account permissions can also be revoked from Google Account connections. Disconnecting is not the same as deleting previously stored bookings, events or messages.
